PA’s biochar and wood vinegar program is a cornerstone of our zero-waste circular economy approach. We work with local technicians and collaborating farmers to produce biochar and wood vinegar from agricultural residues using small-scale biochar stoves developed by PA. This approach reduces open-field burning, lowers greenhouse gas emissions, and converts agricultural waste into valuable soil inputs.
Through pilot deployments and technical support, farmers gain access to clean, low-emission technologies and organic soil enhancers, while PA aggregates biochar and wood vinegar to develop scalable, low-carbon soil improvement products for wider agricultural use. This model demonstrates a practical pathway to reduce emissions in agricultural supply chains while creating shared value for farmers and partners.

As part of a pilot initiative, PA is deploying solar-powered irrigation pumps with collaborating farmers to demonstrate clean alternatives to diesel-powered pumping.
This approach lowers fuel costs, reduces carbon emissions, and improves farm resilience to climate variability. Through these pilots, PA aims to test, refine, and scale practical renewable energy solutions that strengthen farmer livelihoods while delivering measurable environmental benefits.
